Web3 technology will be used during the Miami Swim Week festival

Miami Swim Week

With its reputation for being America’s Web3 capital, Swim Week in Miami will live up to that reputation.

Non-fungible cryptocurrency and digital swimsuits are among the newest Web3 components in the yearly event. An overview of the technology that will be used during the festival:

  • non-fungible tokens serving as entry passes to the Swim Week event
  • Metaverse fashion projects from ZED
  • Social impact NFTs
  • A virtual swim week fashion show on Decentraland
  • Augmented reality and virtual reality campaigns and shows

Campaigns and exhibitions using virtual and augmented reality technologies

Allowing more people to attend the event will be possible because of the metaverse experience. The creator and CEO of Miami Swim Week The Shows, Moh Ducis, argued that the metaverse’s infrastructure leveled the playing field for digital creatives. They also said that no one has ever seen these images on the NFT admission passes.

Swim Week in Miami is an annual event. This year’s event will run from July 13th to July 18th, when the shows will occur. The SLS South Beach Hotel will host live events. This will including runway shows and pop-up pool parties. More than 100 fresh and experienced designers are expected to participate.

Accordingly, the city’s usage of Web3 features may not come as a surprise. Art Basel and the Miami NFT Week are two of the city’s Web3 conventions. The mayor of Miami has established MiamiCoin, a cryptocurrency that has produced $5 million for the town.

Although non-fungible tokens are still in their infancy, organizers of NFT conferences have typically found success with their efforts, even though the technology is still in its infancy. NFTs have also been a standout component of more significant discussions in the past.

Doodle’s set at South by Southwest is an example of the latter. For collectors and non-degens alike, the NFT collection’s crew put up an exhibition where they could see the art, listen to music, and have fun! The event was enthusiastically appreciated by the NFT Twitter community, with many claiming it was excellent.

NYC.NFT, an event held in 2021, is a good illustration of the latter. For the first time, Yuga Labs organized a Yacht Party for the Bored Ape Yacht Club members. An opportunity to meet some well-known influencers and get to know their real-life counterparts were provided.
