The Sandbox teams up with Playboy for Meta Mansions

The Sandbox has teamed up with Playboy for creating Meta Mansions.

Playboy’s MetaMansion in The Sandbox will present gaming, social play, events, and digital collectible releases that will come from Playboy’s extensive content library.

Playboy is a globally acknowledged lifestyle brand. Their new experience in the metaverse will combine the company’s talent and influencer network. And it will try to market Playboy’s fashion and live experiences

Sandbox describes itself as – part virtual real estate, part amusement park. They say also mention that they fully embrace the concept of the metaverse as a continuous shared digital space. 

The Sandbox has previously teamed up with over 300 major brands to convey their presence into the metaverse.

Playboy NFTs and The Sandbox

In 2021, Playboy unleashed an avatar-based NFT collection, named the Playboy Rabbitars. People who own Rabbitars or Sandbox LAND get entry to special experiences in the company’s virtual world in the Sandbox.   

Rachel Webber who is Playboy’s Chief Brand & Strategy Officer mentions that they are thrilled to team up with The Sandbox and its best-in-class design and development team to produce a premium, customized Playboy gaming and social experience in the metaverse. He also added that they can’t wait to invite their global Playboy fanbase and in particular the Rabbitar community and The Sandbox LAND owners, into this new immersive world of Playboy.

The bunny brand has been building controversial experiences for nearly 70 years. The company says that The Sandbox delivers a platform for a new wave of innovation. 

Sebastien Borget the COO and Co-Founder of Sandbox describes that Playboy is symbolic for its charm, lifestyle, and entertainment content that has surpassed generations and that has already stepped into Web3 with early success. He also expresses that they are pleased to bring its rich archive of content into the metaverse and encourage true fans to become virtual neighbors of this iconic brand during a future upcoming LAND sale in Q3 2022.
