The Market for Soccer NFTs Is Increasing at a Rapid Rate

Digital treasures are nothing new to either Paris Saint Germain or Lionel Messi. In August of 2021, Messi introduced his new “Messiverse” NFTs. Messi’s first NFT collection was designed and launched on the Ethernity Chain with the assistance of the graphic design studio BossLogic. The “Golden One,” an NFT from the “Messiverse” collection, fetched $1.12 million at auction.

Certain reports also indicate that Paris SG has metaverse aspirations. According to recent patent filings, French professional soccer club Web3 has recently filed patents to preserve its brand identification.

Professional soccer fans may also be familiar with Paris SG since it is one of the teams in the famous NFT game Sorare. Sorare is undoubtedly the most popular fantasy soccer site, particularly the NFT sector, with around 1.5 million participants.

Players may exchange and utilize NFT trading cards representing players from professional soccer clubs on the Sorare platform, built on Ethereum. They might win crypto or non-fungible rewards if their fantasy team players do well in the real world.

Other professional soccer clubs have been exploring NFT technology besides Paris Saint-Germain. With the support of ConsenSys and Dapper Labs, England’s Premier League plans to launch a large NFT market.
