Lynsey Addario, a photographer who has won several awards, is teaming up with MakersPlace to publish her first NFT, From the Flames. The primary objective of this NFT is to increase awareness about the critical nature of climate change and global warming in general. It is also to memorialise people whose lives were changed by the flames in Northern California in 2021.

The scientific evidence supporting the concept of global warming is unequivocal, as stated by NASA. In addition, the warming of the land, the ocean, and the atmosphere may be directly attributed to human activity. This results in an increase in global temperature, warming of the seas, an increase in sea level, and other severe phenomena. During the Blockchance Conference 2021, this was one of the discussed subjects.

Lynsey Addario, a winner of the Pulitzer Prize, utilises NFTs to raise awareness about climate change. Her first picture series, titled “From the Flames,” captures the brutal realities of climate change, particularly warmth caused by global warming.

The NFT has two striking photographs shot in California in 2021 during the wildfires. These photographs were published in National Geographic, and one of them even appeared on the cover of the annual Year in Pictures issue published by National Geographic.

This NFT may now be purchased via the NFT marketplace known as MakersPlace. In addition to the digital edition, Lynsey Addario provides a physical copy that she has autographed for purchasers. After that, she will donate to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation equal to ten percent of the overall revenues. They are primarily a charitable organisation that offers aid to the families of firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty and firemen who have been wounded while on the job.

Let’s fight the effects of climate change together, and risk repeating ourselves too often like a broken record, for the sake of our family and the future of our children.
