KuCoin announced a Metaverse Partnership for opening a Virtual Office

The global cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin announced an official partnership with the Ertha metaverse to open its first virtual office.

The partnership marks a critical step in Web3 for both parties. For Ertha, this is the first successful integration of a real-world firm into its metaverse. For KuCoin, the partnership will speed up its progress towards becoming one of the most metaverse-friendly exchanges.

The official beginning for the metaverse office is planned for July 28, 2022. With the partnership, players in Ertha’s Beta will be welcomed by a state-of-the-art KuCoin office where they can visualize live crypto market charts.

Ertha is a new P2E metaverse game on Binance smart chain that allows players to micromanage their companies and countries and earn ERTHA token rewards. Ertha’s Beta, which is now live, presents players with an opportunity to explore its gameplay mechanics and role-playing systems.

The Ertha metaverse is separated into 350,000 virtual land plots, each of which collects taxes, fees, and other types of revenue from the transactions taking place on them. Players must balance production and trade to remain ahead of the competition.

KuCoin launched in 2017 and is headquartered in Seychelles. It is one of the top five crypto exchanges.

KuCoin Making Moves in Web3

Despite the continued chilliness of “crypto winter,” Kucoin is moving forward with its plans in Web3. In June, the exchange informed that it would be integrating NFTs on its KuCoin Wallet.

The company also expressed that it was working on developing a mobile version of its non-custodial crypto wallet. Johnny Lyu, the CEO of KuCoin said that the new wallet will help KuCoin seamlessly join Web3.

The news of the new wallet comes just after the platform announced a $100 million fund for NFTs aimed at NFT creators on its Windvane market, as well as a genesis NFT collection called Zzoopers. The NFT fund will focus on NFT projects in arts, PFPs, sports, Asian culture, celebrities, and GameFi.

As one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges with a market cap of around $10 billion, KuCoin’s movements towards NFTs and the metaverse should come as no shock. It will be fascinating to see if more crypto exchanges open shop in the metaverse in the future.
