Gucci, the Italian high-end luxury fashion house informed that it now accepts ApeCoin (APE). The coin will be available for in-store purchases in all of Gucci’s directly controlled locations in the U.S. will accept 10 different cryptocurrencies as payment, and the rest will open in the first week of August.
The Florence-based fashion giant originally began accepting cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu and Dogecoin to the list of available payment options, and now started accepting ApeCoin in an attempt to lure more crypto-friendly customers following the 2021 bull market.

ApeCoin x Gucci
ApeCoin is the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection’s native ERC-20 coin. ApeCoin (APE) will be the main currency utilized in the Ape ecosystem, which will contain a universe of Web3 games, experiences, and communities. APE users can use the BitPay Card to quickly turn ApeCoin into cash and purchase gift cards for major brands and stores, in addition to making purchases with BitPay merchants. The BitPay app also allows people to buy, store, and trade APE in real-time.
In addition to ApeCoin (APE) and Euro Coin (EUROC), BitPay also backs 13 other cryptocurrencies. These include some well-known cryptos like Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin on the Lightning Network, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and others.
Despite the continuing crypto bear market, the fashion brand has taken a serious dive into the crypto sector this year. The fashion brand recently teamed up with SuperRare for an NFT Art Gallery.
