French Postal service is delivering Binance-based NFT Series

On June 17, France’s Groupe La Poste informed that it would be releasing its initial NFTs series on Binance’s NFT marketplace.

The NFT series, “Visages de par Les Facteurs”, was made through an interesting collaboration between French post staff at Groupe La Poste and well-known photographer, journalist, activist, and environmentalist Jann Arthus-Bertrand.

Here is the story behind the “Visages de par Les Facteurs” NFT series on Binance

Back in  December 2021, all postmen in France (up to 70,000) were requested to take pictures of citizens they saw at work and for whatever reason were encouraged by them. By the end of the year, they would form an exhibition named “Portraits of France by Postman.” More than 4,000 photographs were offered between September 6 and October 31, 2021, and the best of them were displayed at the Louvre Museum in Paris in 2022.

In addition, out of 4,000 submitted photos, only 10 were minted as NFTs to become part of this NFT series from the French postal service. The NFT series is now on auction on the Binance NFT marketplace until June 27 i.e. today, and income from the NFT sales will be offered to the Red Cross.

Significantly, this is the first time that Binance is functioning as a digital asset service provider in Europe, which is a landmark for the company. And by the way, on June 24, the Binance NFT marketplace celebrated its initial birthday.

As NFT technology authorizes digital assets to be minted and stored safely on blockchains, a variety of companies, brands, individuals, plus countries invest their time and money into this Domain. And since this is an emerging technology, the constraints of what can be done are still being tested.

We’ll have to wait and watch if France’s postal services can deliver the Binance-based NFT series. But the creativity of this project and the fact that all the profits are donated to a reputable charity make it appear like it could be a win-win situation for everyone involved.
