We’re not just talking about rooms where you can watch the matches, but now interviews are also being conducted through the metaverse.
Inter Milan President Metaverse Meeting
Inter is leading the way in Italy, with a little bit of help from the publication Corriere della Sera.
The Italian media outlet interviewed Steven Zhang, Inter Milan FC’s young owner, during an event set in the metaverse itself.
It was a short but novel interview in which Steven Zhang talked about how emerging technologies are coming to football and how they are serving to grow profits and connect with fans.

Zhang mentioned that they were reaching consumers on a wider scale and with greater capacity than they could ever have imagined in the past.
Inter Milan’s President is also sure that in 20 years’ time when they talk about a club’s revenue, ticket sales, or TV rights, they will no longer be the main categories. There will be social media, metaverse, merchandising, and everything completely digital.
He conveys that this is what is already happening i.e. 10-20 percent of a club’s revenue is coming from here and it is going to evolve more and more.
Lukaku appears in the metaverse Interview
Late on in the interview, Romelu Lukaku stepped in the interview too, obviously with his metaverse avatar.
Thank you president for welcoming me back, said Lukaku (referring to his transfer back to the football club). His message to the Inter Milan fans is: see you soon at the San Siro to win together again.
