On April 15th, the Swedish vodka brand Absolut unlocked a metaverse experience called Absolut.Land in Decentraland. Players who are exploring and interacting with Absolut.Land could win different prizes. These prices include wearable NFTs, discounts on Absolut spirits, or a trip to the Coachella Music Festival.
Absolut Vodka Masterstroke
Absolut Vodka launched its Decentraland attraction on April 15th to overlap with the first day of 2022’s Coachella Festival which is a masterstroke. Many of the activities and fashion accessories in Absolut.Land pays homage to Coachella, This includes a zero-gravity dance hall. Absolut. The land also has a digital version of a physical Absolut museum display in Stockholm.
Anyone can recieve a stylish fashion NFTs. All they ought to do is, take an “avatar selfie” in Absolut.Land’s dedicated “Selfie Room.” Once the players have their selfie pic with them, they must upload them to Twitter and include the tags “@Absolutus” and “#AbsolutLand” along with their Ethereum wallet’s public address.
Absolut mentions that there exist only six wearable NFTs up for grabs. Some of those wearable NFTs were developed by NYC designer Susan Alexandra. Leaving the 300 Absolut puffer jacket NFTsAside, each of these digital wearables will have 200 editions. A few NFT accessories Decentraland participants could win prizes such as include a button-down shirt, sandals, and an Absolut cap.
Further, Absolut vodka’s website also states that it will hide ten unique tokens throughout Absolut.Land. Players who discover one of these coins could win free merch or promo codes for Absolut products.
The ultimate prize in Absolut.Land is the “Teleporter Token.” Those who discover this item could win a trip to next weekend’s Coachella Festival. If players are interested in this prize, they must enter their contact details on Absolut’s official Absolut.Land page. Absolut will randomly select a name from those who submitted their information and discovered the Teleporter Token.
News of Absolut Vodka’s metaverse push comes shortly after Coachella informed its entry into the NFT market. For example, several reports recently discovered that Coachella would give memorializing “Bloom NFTs” to pass holders in 2022. A few months back, the renowned Cali music festival announced an auction for ten lifetime NFT passes on FTX.
Absolut Vodka is only starting its push into the metaverse. Absolut’s CMO Pam Forbus said that the company is doubling its media budget, and 80 percent of this money is going to digital ventures.
Important note: The land is only open to Decentraland players who are over 21 in age.
